A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Dear Parent/Guardian:

At this point of the school year, our district has accumulated six storm days. Since we are only in February, additional snow days may also be in our future. By state law, students must make up these days. One day will be made up by adding one hour to the school day for five Wednesdays: March 7, 14, 21, 28; April 4. On these days, the elementary schools will be dismissed at 4:00. The Middle School will be dismissed at 2:45 and the High School will be dismissed at 3:00. The late bus will do a 5:00 pick-up at the Middle School and a 5:15 pick-up at the High School on each of the extended Wednesdays. On the District Calendar, Friday, March 16 is scheduled as a Teacher Workshop day and Friday, April 13 is scheduled as a non-student day. However, due to the high number of snow days, Friday, March 16 and Friday, April 13 will now be school days. Snow day make-ups can be challenging to schedule, and with these changes, we will have made up three days. I appreciate your flexibility with these adjustments to our school calendar. Please contact your child’s principal if you have any questions.
